In Support of Hamid Mir

Hamid Mir is the No. 1 anchor of Pakistan. He started is career as a journalist 25 years ago. Since then He has accomplished many things. He was the only journalist to interview Osama bin Laden after 9/11. Currently he hosts capital talk on prime time on most watched news channel of Pakistan i.e. Geo news. Hamid Mir has recently come under sever criticism by some quarters. He is being labelled as a traitor, Indian agent and all other allegations are levelled against him which have always been used against those who have dared to speak the truth. I support Hamid Mir in his journey of exposing the hard truth and I find no reason that any sensible person who believes in the truth will disagree with me on this issue.

Hamid Mir is one of the few anchors who regularly highlights the issue of missing persons. He does regular shows on this issue and due to his efforts the cause of Missing persons is still alive on mainstream media. Its also Hamid Mir who criticizes establishment in strictest possible terms for its unfair policy in Balochistan and FATA. Not only this but He also criticizes drone attacks because innocent people are killed in them. He also supports the case of Aafia Siddiqui because nothing has been proved against her so far. So, Mr. Mir is not on any side, He is neither a right wing extremist nor a left wing liberal. He simply judges every case on merit and shapes up his opinion accordingly.

Recently, Hamid Mir exposed Zaid Hamid who is a known liar and propagandist. It was a commendable act by Hamid Mir that he opened the eyes of those who were still not aware about the reality of Zaid Hamid. After that show many people on social media are criticizing Hamid Mir for senseless reasons. They have weird justifications for their criticisms against Mr. Mir. All of them have been blinded in love for Zaid Hamid that they have completely discarded reasoning. Proven fraudsters like Mubasher Luqman also started criticism of Hamid Mir and joined the ranks of those who are supporting Zaid Hamid. It will not take a genius to understand  that why Mubasher Luqman is doing this and why is he defending the liar Zaid Hamid.

All those people who are criticizing Hamid Mir because he has dared to question the establishment should know that Mr. Mir will continue his efforts despite what senseless allegations they level against him. Those who are opposing Hamid Mir are suffering from a Truth -Denying syndrome and they are helpless. I can only hope that they realize the reality and start believing in it. Hamid Mir is not perfect, He still can't raise many issues on his show due to certain compulsions. However this can't overshadow all the daring things that he has done to raise the voice of truth. Any person who believes in rationality must condemn the vicious disinformation campaign against Hamid Mir and support him.
